Task force arrests teen after assault, robbery at tire shop

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis teen is now in jail after being accused of robbing a man at a tire shop in Frayser.

According to U.S. Marshals, Samuel Floyd, 18, is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, theft of property and evading arrest.

Marshals say Floyd allegedly stole a handgun from a customer at a Frayser Boulevard tire shop, pointed it at him, and threatened to shoot him before leaving. The victim immediately called authorities and provided them with a description of Floyd.

When task force members eventually located Floyd and attempted to approach him, they said a short foot chase ensued. It was reported that he began running through nearby backyards and threw the weapon into a homeowner’s backyard…
