MEMPHIS, Tenn. — We’re working to learn more about a multi-car collision that took place Saturday night in East Memphis, leaving the intersection of Rhodes Ave and Getwell Road shut down and covered with highway patrol officers.
WREG is still waiting on official confirmation from Tennessee Highway Patrol on what happened, but people we spoke with say the crash was the result of a high-speed chase.
“My heart done sinked into my stomach, mine done dropped to my foot past my stomach, that’s how scared we was,” eyewitness Ashley Parker said.
