Memphis Towers tenants say new owner promises long-awaited repairs after union meeting

MEMPHIS, Tenn — After more than a year of demanding safer, more reliable living conditions, residents at Memphis Towers told ABC24 that they are finally seeing signs of movement.

Leaders of the Memphis Towers Tenants Union met with the building’s owner on Tuesday, Dec. 9, to present a list of long-standing demands.

About 30 residents, most of them members of the tenants’ union, attended the meeting with the facility’s owner. They said it was the first meaningful opportunity to speak directly with ownership after months of delays…
