Residents of the 9000 block of Johnston Street are on high alert following a second burglary at the same residence this year, with investigators believing the incidents to be connected. According to the Memphis Police Department, the first break-in occurred on June 4, when intruders forced entry and made off with over $32,000 in cash and valuables after a Ring camera recorded a suspect canvassing the home.
The second incident took place last Saturday, when suspects shattered a window to gain entrance, maneuvering through the residence by breaking holes in the ceiling to circumvent the home’s cameras; however, this time they left without taking any property. The damage to the home is yet untold.
