A priest from West Memphis, Arkansas, who pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty, will no longer be reassigned to a church in Shreveport.
Charles Thessing, 64, was arrested on Feb. 11 by the West Memphis Police Department and charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, according to its Facebook page.
The Diocese of Little Rock then suspended Thessing on Feb. 12, according to a statement from Bishop Anthony B. Taylor.
