MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested on Wednesday on an attempted murder charge after a charge was previously dropped in a 2024 fatal shooting, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Eric Wilkerson was arrested on Monday and was indicted last Thursday for the attempted murder of Adrian Goodrich.
On Feb. 22 of 2024, Memphis Police say officers responded to the shooting at Scott Street and Yale Avenue at 6:42 p.m. in Binghampton.
Man killed in Binghampton shooting identified
The victim, identified by police as 52-year-old Adrian Goodrich, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, two people, including Wilkerson, were shooting at each other near Scott Street and Yale Avenue.
Agents said Wilkerson told police that the other person was behind him when one of the shots struck Goodrich in the head.
