Memphis organization gives meals, essentials for National Homeless Memorial Day

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Health Center honored National Homeless Memorial Day on Sunday at Morris Park.

It’s being held on a day, they say is around the longest and coldest night of the year, to remember lives lost while also helping people still experiencing homelessness.

Organizers provided hygiene bags, winter essentials like hats, scarves, and gloves, along with hot meals and Kroger gift cards.

They say the goal is to serve 250 to 300 people and line started forming early…
