Memphis police report fewer Christmas crimes than 2024

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Despite two deadly shootings on Christmas, the Memphis Police Department’s initial numbers show a substantial drop-off in crime this Christmas compared to 2024.

According to city data, calls for robberies, burglaries, larceny, and car thefts were all more than cut in half from December 25, 2024.
