Woman arrested after running over ex multiple times: MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis woman is charged with attempted first-degree murder after police say she ran over her ex-boyfriend multiple times with an SUV on Saturday in Southwest Memphis, according to police.

Memphis police were called to the 500 block of Gilleas Rd. around 11:30 a.m. and found an injured man and a witness.

The witness told police he heard something happening outside his home, and saw Tanieka Ray in a black SUV on the street. He said he watched her continuing to make U-turns in the street while yelling at a man who was on the ground, according to officers.

The witness told police he heard Ray say she was going to run him over again and that she was going to kill him. The witness saw the injured man on the ground in his yard propped up against his fence, police say. The witness told police he pulled the man onto his porch for safety…
