MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A warrant has been issued for a Memphis man who went live on Facebook from inside 201 Poplar to show what he called ‘unlivable’ conditions inside the jail.

Following the video’s release in November, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into how the man was able to keep his phone while in custody.
Derrick McDonald spent four days inside the jail after he says he was pulled over on old driving warrants.
During the Facebook live video, McDonald, who is paralyzed, was captured on video using a phone to film himself along with other inmates being treated in the medical area of the main jail.
