2 juveniles, 1 adult in custody after deadly home invasion, sheriff says

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. – Three people are in custody—two juveniles and an adult—after a home invasion that left one person dead, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

According to the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), deputies were called around 11:30 p.m. Monday to John Hill Road, south of Brighton, for a possible homicide and home invasion. The suspects ran from the home and jumped into a car waiting down the road, the sheriff’s office said.

Sheriff Shannon Beasley said deputies found a man inside with multiple gunshot wounds. 22-year-old Corey Webb was taken to the hospital, but died of his injuries.

After collecting evidence and issuing warrants, which the sheriff said revealed “a quantity of marijuana, cash, and multiple guns,” three people were arrested: a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old, and 20-year-old Ashton Wayne Wolsefer of Memphis…
