MS man accused of leading law enforcement agencies on chase, crashing into ditch

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A DeSoto County, Mississippi, man was arrested after leading multiple state, federal, and county law enforcement agencies on a chase and then crashing into a ditch on Sunday, according to Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

George Brandon James Anderson, 31, was charged with evading arrest, disregarding a traffic signal permitted, leaving the scene of accident, reckless driving, and auto theft.

Dec. 28, at around 5 p.m., Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a recovery/foreign call in the 7900 block of East Shelby Drive.

Deputies said they saw a Toyota driving eastbound on Forest Hill Irene Road coming from DeSoto County…
