West Tennessee Drug Task Force seizes nearly 2,000 lbs of drugs in 2025

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The West Tennessee Drug Task Force announced that nearly 2,000 pounds of drugs were seized from the streets and highways of Shelby, Haywood, Crockett, Gibson, Dyer, and Lake Counties in West Tennessee in 2025.

The drug task force said last year they broke three individual drug seizure records with meth, cocaine, and promethazine while seizing a total of 1,889 pounds of drugs.

They released the following statistics:

  • Arrests – 101 ea.
  • Guns – 54 ea.
  • Methamphetamine – 260 lbs. (record)
  • Fentanyl – 8 pounds
  • Cocaine – 213 lbs. (record)
  • Controlled Pills – 5,586 ea.
  • Promethazine – 254 lbs. (31.5 gl.) (record)
  • Extasy – 1 oz.
  • Marijuana – 1,154 lbs.
