MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Family and friends of a Beale Street Flipper call for justice one month after his murder.
The shooting death of Twan Todd took place one month ago on East Alston Avenue, and since the shooting, no arrests have been made in the case.
WREG spoke to the victim’s brother and best friend, and they say that police allegedly know who the prime suspect is but have yet to make an arrest.
Todd was recognized by many as a Beale Street flipper of 30 years, and his family told WREG they want justice.
“He was just the life of the party. He always joked. Always joked, always smiled. Even if he wasn’t feeling it he was still going to laugh and check you. He was always going to be Twan,” said James Todd, Twan Todd’s brother. “The police said they know who’s responsible. Now we’re trying to figure out why those people are still out.”…
