MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The world’s largest online retailer and global tech giant, Amazon, announced its plans to develop the first same-day delivery facility in Memphis, according to a press release from the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce (GMCC).
GMCC says the facility will be located at 4131 Clarke Road in Southeast Memphis and is anticipated to begin operations in late 2027. Once the 350,000 square-foot building is fully operational, 100 associates are expected to be employed, the press release stated.
GMCC explained that the future delivery facility will play a key role in enabling Amazon to meet customer demand for faster delivery options by supporting local package processing and last-mile operations.
