Bartlett Police warns of AT&T text scam

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Officials from the Bartlett Police Department (BPD) are warning residents about text messages in which scammers are posing as the wireless service provider AT&T.

The scheme, as demonstrated on the department’s Facebook page, involves the scammer telling the recipient that they have reward points that they need to spend by following a link.
