MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A former residential healthcare employee is now in jail after being accused of abusing a vulnerable adult in his care.
Larry Brantley, 44, is charged with aggravated kidnapping and abuse of a vulnerable adult.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says it started in July of last year when agents received a referral from Adult Protective Services. That is when they say they began investigating the allegations made against Brantley, who was working as a caregiver at the time.

During the investigation, TBI agents determined that Brantley was involved in the physical abuse and restraint of a male victim, who is an intellectually disabled TennCare patient.
