MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were injured in a Saturday morning crash when family says a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) vehicle hit the couple’s SUV in the Frayser neighborhood.
Their family told WREG they found out about the crash with the help of a smartphone.
In video obtained by WREG, several THP vehicles were seen in the area of Overton Crossing St. near Woodlawn Terrace and had the street blocked. By Saturday afternoon the street was back open.
WREG’s Katelyn Barker spoke to a family member of the couple who says one of the victims, Octavion Smith, is still recovering in the hospital from his injuries.
The sister of a victim involved says she was notified of the crash by the cell phone app Life 360. She says even though her relatives have a long road to recovery, she’s grateful they’re alive…
