TN man guilty of joining armed group of 8 to rob several banks in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Tennessee man has been convicted of committing a series of bank robberies throughout Memphis, one of which ended in a shootout in 2023, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee.

Mario Patterson, 45, was also found guilty of joining a conspiracy of eight people that robbed a total of five bank branches.

Documents say that between April and December of 2023, Patterson and his co-defendants conducted the robberies and that they even attempted to rob the same bank branch twice…
