MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in jail facing several charges after the Tennessee Highway Patrol said he led them on a chase while under the influence in a stolen vehicle on Saturday night.
DeAndre Perry, 24, is charged with reckless driving, evading arrest, intentionally evading arrest in auto, driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, possession of a firearm/commission of a felony, and theft of property $10,000-$60,000.
Troopers say it all started when they saw a black Chevrolet Camaro speeding east on Chuck Avenue at the intersection of Sophia Street. The driver was accused of going 30 miles over the speed limit.
When troopers attempted a traffic stop, the driver allegedly sped off. A chase was initiated at that time…
