6 members of Olive Branch Fire Department recognized for role in saving city employee’s life

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (WMC) – The City of Olive Branch is recognizing six members of the fire department for their role in saving the life of a government employee back in September.

Mayor Ken Adams and Fire Chief William Clark issued Lifesaving Awards to the following employees during Tuesday night’s board meeting:

  • Fire Lieutenant/EMT Jeff Hawks
  • Driver/Paramedic Patrick Depriest
  • Firefighter/EMT Will Preslar
  • Firefighter/EMT Jaiden Bell
  • Paramedic Peyton Elkins
  • Paramedic Paul Coletta

City officials say that on the morning of September 29, a city employee experienced a medical emergency and became unresponsive at city hall.

First responders arrived and immediately began treating the employee, who went into cardiac arrest and respiratory failure shortly thereafter…
