HORN LAKE, Miss. — Horn Lake Police shut down a portion of eastbound Goodman Road near Interstate Boulevard on Saturday due to dangerously slick road conditions that left multiple vehicles unable to maintain traction.
According to Horn Lake Police, the roadway became impassable as freezing conditions caused ice to form on the surface, forcing officers to turn around drivers and assist stranded vehicles. Eastbound traffic is being stopped at Windchase as crews work to keep motorists safe until conditions improve.
