MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An “armed career criminal” was found guilty of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon after a three-day trial, the United States Attorney’s Office announced on Monday morning.
Derrick Wilson, 48, was arrested on November 3, 2023, after Memphis Police say he tossed a Ruger .380 caliber pistol to the ground in plain view.
A special finding was also made that Wilson had previously been convicted of three violent felonies on different occasions…
