CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police said one person died and three others, including a Walnut Ridge man, suffered injuries in Thursday’s crash on Interstate 55 near Marion.
The crash happened at 7:48 a.m. Jan. 29 at the nine-mile marker in Crittenden County.
According to the preliminary fatal crash report, a northbound 2017 Freightliner driven by Ronnie Black, 50, of Walnut Ridge, was merging from the rest area when a 2019 Freightliner driven by Zivko Josipovic, 57, of Hudsonville, Michigan, struck it in the rear.
ASP said Black’s semi-truck then left the roadway and crossed the cable barriers into the southbound lanes, striking head-on a 2006 Honda Accord driven by 43-year-old Matthew Coles of Marion…
