MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Members of the Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) arrested a man on Thursday and charged him with several felonies including gun and drug charges.
Official say 39-year-old Deonta Jones was arrested for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, burglary, possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, and theft of property ($10,000-$60,000).
MSTF members executed a search warrant following the arrest in the 2700 block of Filmore Ave. in the Bethel Grove neighborhood. Officials found a 9 mm handgun, $1,207 in cash, 100 oxycodone pills, 3.45 pounds of marijuana and 34.9 grams of cocaine.

Jones is in the Shelby Co. Jail and is scheduled to be in court Monday morning.
According to MSTF, members made 19 criminal arrests and seized five more illegal guns on Thursday, Jan. 29.
