Video shows MSCS Superintendent driving to assess roads before decision on school closing

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis-Shelby County Schools Superintendent Roderick Richmond experienced road conditions firsthand before the district announced the decision to close schools on Monday.

On Saturday afternoon, Richmond posted a video of himself driving and stated that he and other officials were assessing road conditions to decide whether it would be safe to open schools on Monday.
