Fayette County Animal Rescue facility damaged after winter storm

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Fayette County Animal Rescue has been closed for a week after the winter storm damaged parts of the facility and now are in need of the public’s help.

According to the rescue’s Facebook page, the founder stayed at the shelter during the first weekend of the winter storm, ensuring the animals were safe, warm, fed and loved during the wintry weather.

The storm damaged carports and fencing, leaving the shelter unable to operate. The shelter’s car also died during the cold weather. It is used to transport animals to and from medical appointments, transport animals to new families, and more.

The no-kill rescue is now in need of donations to make the needed repairs…
