Six people have died in Shelby County from the winter storm that hit the area in late January.
According to a press release from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, Shelby County leads the state with the most weather-related deaths from the January winter storm, with six. It was not immediately clear exactly how the deaths occurred.
