THP shares new protest video after trooper accused of hitting men

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a new video on Thursday after questions were raised about troopers’ conduct during a protest in Memphis.

The video was posted days after State Representative Justin J. Pearson called for a formal investigation amid claims that demonstrators were hit by a patrol car.

In the video, two men were seen standing in front of the cruiser as a trooper tried to drive through the crowd.

THP said it posted the video on social media to let viewers “draw their own conclusions.”
