Teen boy shot while walking to gas station with cousin in southeast Memphis, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A 15-year-old boy was shot while he was walking with his cousin to a gas station in southeast Memphis early Friday morning, police said.

One of the boys told investigators with the Memphis Police Department that they were walking in the area of Lamar Avenue and Shelby Drive when gunfire erupted around 4:30 a.m.
