Popular Memphis BBQ restaurant to open a Germantown location

A popular Memphis barbecue restaurant plans to open a second location.

The owners of Bain Barbecue announced recently on social media that they plan to open a new restaurant in Germantown in July. The popular, Texas-style barbecue restaurant is owned and operated by couple Bryant and Heather Bain along with partner Ryan Glosson.

The couple announced the news in front of what appears to be a former Arby’s location. An Arby’s at 2016 S. Germantown Road closed permanently in October along with two other Memphis-area Arby’s locations. The Bains did not respond to a request for additional information about the new location.

The story of Bain Barbecue

Bain Barbecue was launched as a food truck in Memphis in March 2021 by the Bains. But the Texas-style food truck originally built around a smoker closed after a six-month run. During the time the food truck opened it had almost a cult-like following.
