‘Garbage dump’: Memphis neighborhood struggles with overflowing trash

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One northeast Memphis resident says there are more bags of trash on the curb than residents in his house.

He said the heap of garbage is due to the city not routinely servicing his neighborhood.

WREG heard from the resident who worries this could become a health hazard for all.

The resident who didn’t want to be identified told WREG he’s reached out to the city several times for answers as to when trash will be removed, but he hasn’t gotten an answer. He says frustration is an understatement…
