MID-SOUTH — Several schools across the Mid-South said they’ve gotten their snow days waived, meaning there will be no additional days added to the school calendar.
Below is a continuous list of schools with snow day waivers:
- Millington Municipal Schools: In a social media post, the school district said it had received confirmation from the Tennessee Department of Education that all 10 inclement days from Jan. 26-Feb. 6 have been waived. In other words, no extra days will be added to the calendar.
- Collierville Schools: The TDOE returned five of Collierville Schools’ eight inclement weather days, leaving them with three remaining days for future events. With the waiver, Collierville Schools will not have to make up any days.
- Bartlett City Schools: In a Facebook post, the school district said all of its inclement weather days from Jan. 26-Feb. 5 have been waived. “This approval means the instructional days missed during this period will not need to be made up,” the school district said.
As of Tuesday, Memphis-Shelby County Schools still has not announced if it has gotten snow days waived. Meanwhile, Oxford Schools said the Mississippi school district will use the Monday following Easter as a makeup day…
