ARLINGTON, Tenn. (WMC) – The National Park Service is asking Memphians to weigh in on a dark time in American history – working to uncover new information about lynching sites in Shelby and Haywood Counties.
The goal is to potentially designate and protect the sites as historically significant.
“Justice wasn’t done here, and it’s still not being done, and there’s a cover up,” said Dr. Ronald Morris.
