Memphis loses its only full IKEA store
IKEA announced Feb. 10, 2026, that it will permanently close its Memphis store on May 3. The location at 7900 IKEA Way in Cordova is the only full-size IKEA in Tennessee.
The company said the decision came after a review of market share, business performance, cost structure, and how it uses its physical locations.
After May 3, Tennessee shoppers will need to travel out of state to find a full IKEA.
