MPD: Driver at 100 mph runs red light, ejects passengers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Four people were hospitalized Wednesday night after a two-vehicle crash in Southwest Memphis, according to Memphis police.

The crash occurred at 11 p.m. at the intersection of East Mitchell Road and South Third Street. Police said the driver of a Lexus was traveling up to 100 mph when the vehicle ran a red light and struck a Dodge Ram that was in the intersection attempting to turn onto East Mitchell.
