2 victims caught in crossfire during South Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are searching for at least three men they say were involved in a shooting that injured two innocent bystanders in South Memphis on Saturday afternoon.

Police say officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Castalia St. around 1:20 p.m. According to police, two groups were shooting at each other, when the victims were caught in the crossfire.

According to officials, a man and a woman were found and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The woman has since been upgraded to non-critical condition, according to police.
