A Collierville police officer is sitting in a Memphis jail after what authorities describe as a boozy night that ended in a domestic fight in Fayette County. Officer David L. Haley was arrested on a domestic assault charge and is being held at the county jail in downtown Memphis after his girlfriend told deputies he dragged her from a bed and the two traded blows.

Fayette County deputies were called to a residence on March 2. After talking to witnesses and reviewing court paperwork, investigators determined Haley was the primary aggressor, according to WREG.
