MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Millington agencies are cleaning Highway 51 after chicken parts from a truck fell into the road on Wednesday, according to the Millington Director of Public Safety Chief Gary Graves.
The director said that Millington Fire, Millington Police, and our Public Works crews are currently on scene on Highway 51 at Shelby responding to a northbound truck carrying chicken by-products that lost unsecured material onto the roadway.
Director Graves said the driver has been stopped, and authorities are addressing the situation. They said Millington Fire and Public Works are leading cleanup efforts.
According to Graves, two northbound lanes between Navy Road and Shelby are currently closed while crews work to clear the roadway. One lane remains open, but drivers should expect delays…
