SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — A correctional supervisor was injured during an attack last week at the Shelby County penal farm, a county official said.
In a statement, Shelby County Director of Corrections Anthony Alexander confirmed with FOX13 that the attack happened just after 6 p.m. Monday, March 9 at the facility on Mullins Station.
The official said an inmate attacked the correctional supervisor “during routine housing operation,” leaving the employee injured. The sergeant was taken to a hospital and later released with non-critical injuries, the official added…
