MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis-Shelby County Schools Board has voted against ending the interim contract for Superintendent Roderick Richmond, despite formally naming him as superintendent.
The Board held a special-called meeting about Richmond’s contract on Wednesday morning. Board members discussed a motion to end Richmond’s interim contract so that it could approve a “permanent” contract.
