Officer fires shots at pitbull after detaining suspect

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police shot at a dog that charged toward officers after detaining a man in Southwest Memphis on Wednesday.

At around 10:40 a.m., officers responded to an armed party call in the 800 block of Hackberry Lane.

Man charged with stealing Razor bike at gunpoint

Police said they have one male detained at this time, and while on the scene, a brown and white pitbull came out of the residence and aggressively charged toward officers.

They said one officer discharged his firearm, possibly striking the dog, and the dog fled the scene…
