At Memphis Animal Services, volunteers and staff are asking for help finding a suitable loving home for an active-duty military member’s dog as her owner is being deployed.
According to the shelter, it had been a heartbreaking decision to ask for help for his dog named Pugs. It had been the last thing he wanted to do, but he also wanted to make sure Pugs was safe, loved and cared for while he served our country.
Pugs arrived at the shelter on March 18, 2026 as an owner surrender. She would do best in a single dog home. She is said to be good with children.
