The pre-dawn quiet at Canterbury Woods Apartments in northeast Memphis did not last long Tuesday, as a shooting call brought a heavy police response and wrapped the complex in crime-scene tape before sunrise.
Memphis police arrived just after 4 a.m., and residents reported seeing multiple patrol cars and investigators moving around the buildings and parking lots as officers secured the area.
The complex is listed at 6520 Macon Road on a property listing at Apartments.com, placing it along the Macon Road corridor in northeast Memphis.

As of early Tuesday, Memphis police had not released details about any victims, potential suspects or a possible motive, and investigators were still processing the scene.
