Boy injured following overnight shooting in South Memphis

A minor was injured following an overnight shooting in South Memphis, police confirmed.

The Memphis Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 2300 block of Douglass Ave at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, March 27.

Upon arrival, officers found a 7-year-old boy who had been struck by gunfire while sitting in his living room. The victim was taken to LeBonheur’s Children Hospital in critical condition but was later upgraded to non-critical, according to the police report…
