Gang member gets 10 years after stabbing ex-girlfriend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A gang member was sentenced Monday to 10 years after being found guilty of stabbing his ex-girlfriend five times, according to the Tennessee District Attorney General Frederick H. Agee in the 28th Judicial District.

On Mar. 30, Antonio Pewitte was sentenced to 10 years at 100% in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

On Feb. 18, Pewitte was found guilty of Attempted Voluntary Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault, the district attorney general said. He has prior felony convictions for Robbery and Criminal Simulation and 15 prior misdemeanor convictions, including two Domestic Assaults.

Attorney Agee said that Pewitte is also a documented Gangster DiscipleS gang member.
