Memphis man found guilty for distributing heroin and carfentanil by federal jury

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man has been found guilty after a 3-day federal trial on charges of distributing heroin and carfentanil that resulted in death, according to the Department of Justice.

Steven McCurdy, 46, was found guilty and is awaiting sentencing. He is otherwise known as, “Kroger Man” or “Plug Tunchii.”

On May 11, 2020, a victim identified as W.B. and a witness purchased what they believed was heroin from McCurdy, according to the DoJ. Records state the two went back to the witness’ home in Byhalia, Miss. to take the drugs, thinking it was heroin…
