82-year-old graduates from Memphis Virtual High School

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 82-year-old woman was among the graduates celebrated Saturday by Memphis-Shelby County Schools during the commencement ceremony for Memphis Virtual Adult High School’s Class of 2026.

District leaders praised the graduates for their determination and perseverance as they reached a major educational milestone.

“Today we celebrated graduates (including an 82-year-old graduate) whose hard work, resilience, and commitment to their goals brought them to this milestone moment,” the school wrote in a social media post. “The future is ours!”
