Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen presented the Mayor’s Award for April to Meter Reader Supervisor Sherrie Bowen, the board said.
On March 9, Bowen noticed a fellow team member who appeared confused, disoriented and was experiencing a severe problem with his eye, the board said. She immediately transported him to a local primary care provider, who referred him to a hospital for emergency treatment, the board said.
Doctors later determined the worker had a brain bleed and a stroke affecting his eye, and hospital staff told city officials that without immediate intervention his chances of survival would have been extremely limited, the board said…
