MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Louisiana package theft investigation led authorities to Memphis, where a suspect was arrested with stolen mail, identification cards, passports, and financial information tied to what investigators say was a multi-state fraud operation.
According to the Kenner Police Department, the investigation began after package thefts were reported in the Avant Garde neighborhood in Kenner, Louisiana.
Detectives later tracked suspect 36-year-old Joshua Johnson to Memphis with help from the Collierville Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Major Crimes Task Force.
